fragility of relationship

Dear Sumire,

Yesterday I went on on a supper with this one guy I'd known almost all my my life. And he told me he had a broke-up like 3 weeks ago. For a moment, I was stunned.

He was one of my best friend ever, and to tell the truth, I'd always envied him. He had a calm heart and mind. He have the most serene relationship, and I'd never heard any problems regarding it. Like I say, I envied him.

So this one news I heard about him having a break-up was shocking. I thought he was going 'really-steady'. I even thought I might get an wedding invitation sometime next year or so. But a break-up? It makes me question the fragility of love. Wait, maybe the fragility of a relationship would sound more like it.

I wonder why people get together. Is it because of love? Or was it because we humans just need another being to hang on? If that's the case, is that why most of the long-distance-relationships failed?

I'd been told, relationship is not about give and take. It's much more than that. It's about love. It's about being happy. Easier said than done isn't it? How many of yous out there had a really happy relationship?

But then, I'd also been told that being in a relationship means you learn to give and take; happily. if you can do so, then you're doing good. if you're not, you're pretty much screwed.

I'd also being told that being in a relationship is about having a commitment. If you trust that someone, then love him or her with all your heart. Commitment means you forget all the wrongs and errs before you and start committing to that one person again. Alright, now it sounds almost impossible to be done. After all, we're only humans. To err is human, to forgive divine.

So to speak, we are all on a difficult mission to seek and search for the other half. But to be with that someone until the end of the road is way harder.

media censorship

So, our Prime Minister is asking us to believe in our mainstream medias. Is our mainstream medias reliable? Are they giving us the correct information? Are the reporters and journalists allowed to jot and report the truth?
Now, what is the truth?
There you go truth. The two principals are never heard of ever again. Try going to The Star Online and search for Siti Inshah. Then search for Namewee. Compare the amount of articles that pop out. You'd be surprise by how different the double standard is. Oh yes double standard.

Why are there so little articles about the principle, and so much coverage is given to that Johorean Rap Artist? Are you saying that less people want to know about the principal? Nop. It's just simply because there are so many times where articles are not allowed to be published when because these articles are deemed as sensitive and couldn't get through the so called 'screening'.

I don't know many journalists anyway, but at least I follow the blog of one or two journalists which I find their writings are worth reading. For instant, Tun M's daughter's blog: Rantings by MM. I find her writing mind challenging, and she forces us to think, with our very own 'Malaysian Mindset'. And of course, since she's a journalist, she too have some articles which didn't make it to the papers, for instance; this particular one: The Column that Wasn't. Click on it and read it. You'll understand what I'm talking about.

Get this right, I'm not ssupporting Namewee, and I watched that video online. I laugh at how he humiliate Siti Inshah but hey, I don't see any racism there. As far as I can tell, he's humiliating a racist principal of a secondary school. I don't get it when they said he was making seditious remarks. Funny I'd say.

So now, the government iss going to screen our blogs as well? Read it here - Malaysia to monitor Internet for Harmful Blogs. I guess the government realize that blogger are a very much more powerful force and now they're coming full fledge to bring bloggers down, once and for all.

This year, all I feel during the Independence day is - it's not worth celebrating at all. Tired of all these political based movements. I don't feel freedom. I wouldn't even say 'Merdeka' when even writing on a personal blogs have to go through censorship. This is a sad year for Malaysia.

Disappointed.

super random post

Dear Sumire,

I wanted to blog, but there's not enough time to into every details because I'm super freakin busy. So, here, I'll post a super duper random post!

Mummy! Happy Mother's Day! Sorry I can't be around on that very Sunday. I'm sorry for all the troubles I had given you, and I thank you for all that you'd given me. I'm sorry I'd always made you worried, and I'm glad to have a loving mum like you! *Hugs and Kisses*

Congratulations to PDRM! Your officer had successfully shot down yet another traffic offender. Traffic offenders, beware. Next time you speed, forget about that RM300 saman. Might be a bullet up your ass. *Salute*

Both the IM2 rocks! I mean Iron Man 2 and Ip Man 2 of course. Both contains high quality action and serious humor. I prefer Ip Man 2 better den Iron Man 2, but that's just me! I wanted to watch 'Losers' but where's the time? Omg. I'm such a movie freak!

Super busy with my research proposal and sketches. Damn, I really can't make any sense out of it. Methodowtfology again? I need guidance! *Grrrr*

This many color tactic of blogging is completely not original from me. I copied this from my baby sister Eunice. I think she'll probably realize this when she read through the 1st paragraph or two. Hahaha..

And lastly! I'd already launch my eugene365project! Please comments on the pictures if you like them, and follow the blog if you like all of them! Support my photos, it'll inspire me more!

Ok. That's all from me. I got a class to attend. I'll need to prepare.

Signing off,
jin

whO's to BLaMe?

This is totally a random discussion. When a girl is sexually harassed, or being RAPED, whose fault is it?

Is it the rapist’s fault or the victim’s fault? I heard someone said you can’t blame the rapist fully. The victim must also bear a bit of the responsibility. WTH?

To my dear friends, they’re not called victim without a reason.

i. Victim is a term used for the person a crime is committed against. If someone is robbed, they are the victim. If someone is killed, that person is the victim. The person who did the crime is the culprit.

ii. The culprit/criminal is the person who commits the crime against the victim.

iii. The victim is the person who seduces the culprit/criminal to commit a crime against him/her.

Which of the statement above does not make any sense to you?
Please, think before you make a statement. Don’t make yourself sound stupid.

Let’s take a random case study, and fit in the 3 statement.
Remember back in 2004, there is this case of Nurul Huda being killed and raped cold bloodedly in Gelang Patah? She’s only ten years old, and she’s helpless. The criminal is a man an animal known as Mohd Abbas raped her and killed her. I pray hoping that her soul may rest in peace.

i. Nurul Huda is the victim. She’s abducted, raped and killed brutally and inhumanly by Mohd Abbas. Mohd Abbas is the culprit.

ii. Mohd Abbas is the culprit whom committed the crime against the 10-year-old Nurul Huda.

iii. The victim seduces Mohd Abbas to abduct, rape and kill her brutally and inhumanly.

If you think in any way at all that statement (iii) is possible, you’re an idiot. I remembered once I read in newspaper someone said that,

‘rape victims are wrong at the first place because they do not tutup aurat.’

I say that guy is an idiot as well. That criminal deserves to die for what he did. And the victim does not bring this upon herself. The 10 year old Nurul Huda is wearing school uniform for Christ’s sake.

If you think wearing primary school uniform is sexy, you’re a delusional lunatic. She’s wearing what she should, and she’s helpless. And you definitely needs help.

Mohd Abbas is the only person to blame. That beast took everything away from the victim. If he did commit this crime against her, Nurul would be alive today at the age of 15, worrying about pimples or PMR result now.

None of that is going to happen, now who’s to blame?

I took this from CNN..

"JAKARTA, Indonesia (CNN) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.6 struck Indonesia on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake was recorded about 33 miles from Padang, the capital city of West Sumatra, which is home to more than 800,000 people.

Several buildings were damaged, Metro TV reported. People were seen running out of their homes and toward the hills.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a tsunami watch for Indonesia, India, Thailand and Malaysia.

NOAA could not immediately say whether the quake generated a tsunami, but such advisories are issued when a quake has the potential to cause one."

I hope nothing happens. I hope people in Indonesia are okay as well.

oNe FuTurE

Wow! I'd been watching 15Malaysia videos for some time since Aj introduced them to me. Although I did not catch them on their respective release date every time, I still go back and watch the latest 2-3 short films in one shot. I must say this short film 'One Future' really grabbed my attention. The style, the story and the voice of the narrator fits perfectly like a well conducted orchestra.

If this is the one perfect future, then I bet all Malaysian will rather live as rebellions. The freedom to speak is so important and so well symbolized in One Future. I hope you'll all enjoy this stop-motion video as much as I did. And I hope all Malaysian will stand tough. Deny our colour, religion, and ideology.
Tell the world that we're One.
More importantly?
Tell ourselves that we're indeed One.

NGV eXpLosiOn iN MeLaKa

I was hanging out with my friends when my sister sent me a SMS that sounds like this:
Dun go Taman Merdeka pump gas. Today dun pump. Taman Merdeka gas explode. Dad say de.
For your information, currently i’m driving my dad’s 1999 Proton Wira 1.5 that runs on NGV (and petrol, of course). NGV is good lah, since I can save more on fuel. If I pump full tank only RM7 or RM8 plus max. With a full tank, I can go around 120km, sometimes 130km. That’s approximately 6 cent per kilometre. However, refilling NGV can be a headache since 120km is actually very little if you travel a lot. Not to mention you have to wait behind the long queue line of cabs.

Eh, babbling away pulak. Back to the text message my sister sent me. When she said gas explode, I thought there were a technical error at the gas station that causes the explosion. But it was nothing like that. The next morning, my dad told me that the explosion was caused by irresponsible modification to a vehicle using a LPG gas tank (the ones we use for cooking). According to him, the owner of the exploded vehicle passed away in the accident, after the explosion ripped open his stomach. Due to my curiosity, I purposely drive by the Petronas station to peek at the accident spot (damn it, without my camera).

But what I saw there was only a cleared up scene. No more glasses or metals on the floor. But I did saw a white van that totally looked like the exploded vehicle.
I went home, feeling even more curious. So I Googled ‘Taman Merdeka NGV accident’. This is what i found:

The white van that exploded while refuelling NGV.

That’s the white van I saw! After I found the pictures, I go on reading the text that accompanied the graphics. Let me summarize what I read:

  • The incident happened at Petronas Taman Merdeka, Batu Berendam on 8.30pm Friday night (7th Nov).
  • 3 people arrived with the van (Toyota Lite Ace).
  • The vehicle was refilling NGV as usual, when the vehicle suddenly explode.
  • One Two people is injured and two one people have died. (updated)

  • A taxi driver got injured on his face.
  • LPG cooking cylinder is found.
  • A box with Pelmag NGV components are there, but never used.
  • NO NGV cylinder was installed in the vehicle.
  • The owner probably had personally install the LPG cooking cylinder under the seat of the van.
Aiyo, the main reason why we use NGV is to save on fuel mah! If we get to save but in return we have to sacrifice our life, what’s the point? Please! No NGV cylinder was found? That’s really very serious leh! How can one simply replace a high pressure NGV gas tank with a regular cooking gas tank? When refuelling NGV, the gas tank will heat up. If you’re using NGV gas tanks, you would not face any problems since the tanks were built to sustain the heat from the refilling heating. However, if you use cooking gas tanks, you risked to be barbecued. The regular LPG tanks cannot sustain heat.

The exploded LPG tank.

Think twice before installing tanks like this in your vehicle. It might go 'Kaboom!!'

The natural gas is a sensitive fuel, so if you planned to use it, you have to install the whole system correctly. Follow the safety regulations issued by JPJ. Go to an authorized and recognized NGV installer instead of D.I.Y. experimenting at home. Dangerous lah kawan. Even if you don’t appreciate your own life, think about others! Don’t put other people in danger. For heaven’s sake, the whole petrol station might blow up because of your stupidity creativity. Petrol stations are high risk areas lah!

Ingatlah orang yang tersayang.

Let's pray for the deceased and hope no more accidents like this happen in the future.
