twentysix

Dear Sumire

A few days ago, I turned 26. I was so happy that my darling was took a day off  just to do nothing with me. We went to the mall, had lunch, catch a movie. It was a bliss. I was enlightened in her company. I love her, so much. And I want to thank her so much for putting up with all my ridiculous mood swings. I was never a good partner to be with. But she stayed by my side anyway. She stayed by my side, peeping and observing me through the years. :-)

My love. She won't let me take her pictures. Must be my skill's problems.

At night, my sister hollered at me. We met for dinner and after that we tasted the worst dessert ever. It was all worth the laugh. Funny how much we paid to torture ourselves!

The silliest silly sister you can ever get.

You don't know how sick you made me.
Sometimes its in these simple stuffs I find myself lost in my own laughter. Where everything else just fell behind, drifting away.

Love.

The birthday girl is the one sitting in the middle, in yellow t-shirt. She called me a 'height discriminator', and it's only fair that I call her 'Pendek'. She'd just turned 22 years OLD yesterday, so I just wanna wish her Slamat Hari Jadi Pendek!

I hope all your birthday wishes comes true!

haPpY biRtHdaY pUa

It was reminiscing the old times when we’re all still young, I thought of all the stupid and crazy stuffs we did. I remember how life was easy back then, without having to think much about anything at all. PMR, SPM, oh heck... I never gave a damn about those major exams anyway. How carefree.

Then I thought of my old blog... Went back and read my own post, smiling at myself like I’m a stupid dude. Then I saw this post:

FriEnDsHiP

i knew this one guy 9 years ago. he was a small sized guy, with small eyes, and doesn't really talk much. how did i knew him? we both came from the same primary school, but we doesn't rily talk to each others, even we spent 4 years in the same class together.

out of 140 plus standard six students from st. francis primary school, only four boys transfered to smk gajah berang. so, both of us starts to talk to each others. we sat next to each other. go out with each other. soon, he became my closest friend. though we were not in the same class the year after that, we never lose contact. we still hang around together. and for three years; since form one till form 3, we'll go out every single friday. where we went? we went to Fajar supermarket! alwiz hang around micky trading to browse thru all those ps games folders.

when we enter form 4, both of us was sorted in 4Sc2, based on our PMR results. and again, we sat next to each others. makin noise in class each and evry single period till the teachers labeled us with all sort of names. but we din give a damn. whu cares what the teachers think?

things do get nasty sometimes. alrite, its not juz sometimes, it's lots of time. thru de years, we quarrel lots of time. damn, and i can say it's almost everytime my fault. but one thing i can say is, he always took the immediat action of using the word "sorry". in hundreds of times we got ourselves into fights, i only used that word once or twice.

he was always looking over my back. yea.. always. this are the words from the bottom of my heart, "wei Pua, kalau saya ada buat apa-apa silap, apa-apa yang buat engkau marah, saya nak pohon banyak-banyak ampun. minta maaf k? i'll never wanna lose a friend like u!

His birthday was yesterday, and he’d his birthday party on the Christmas night. I’m sorry I can’t attend his party due to my family’s gathering we had every Christmas. I did make a brief appearance there, and I wished I could’ve stayed longer. Happy Birthday Pua. I hope you have a fabulous year ahead of you!

sUaN's bDay

Suan's birthday? We'd lots of fun tricking her. We don’t have the birthday celebration well planned, but we did do some preparation. The rest of it, we do it freestyle. 21st birthday! This means that this wee size girl is already an adult. Wow. Suddenly, I felt old. Haha...

Aj and I bought her a purse. While we already presumed that she wouldn’t like such a lady-like purse, we still bought it. Aj wanted her to look more ladies. Well, for me, I rather buy her a plastic bag. She can use it more efficiently. What’s the use of so many compartments? She’s so unorganized. A plastic bag will do. She can trash her ID card and ATM card and cash all into one compartment. Sounds like a good idea to me. But I don’t even dare to sound this opinion out. Getting a plastic bag as a 21st birthday present is definitely a no no. Haha...

We celebrated her birthday simple, but of course, we did fool her. It wouldn’t be us if we don’t. If I don’t disturb her on her birthday, then the person you saw is definitely not me! Haha... We went dinner at Ong Kim Wee’s Satay Celup. The surprise we had there is something she will never expect. We invited her boyfriend to join us, despite out difference in opinion, thoughts and all. It wasn't that bad actually. There, we’d incredible jokes and laugh all night long. Who can stand the laugh if someone claims that he’d firsthand experience of playing basketball making him 5cm shorter than his original height? I find that story rather fascinating.

Later we had some candles for her to blow at her car porch. Yup! We only prepared candles, without the cake. Then we lied about catching a midnight show at MBO. I guess she’ll never realize anything. We’d a cake ready outside MBO. We made her blow her cake there. And then we started snapping. Damn the batteries, those shits really cut my steam when it suddenly runs out halfway.

The candles without the cake.

aJ's bdaY

Well, I’m tired of doing nothing today. And even more, I’m suffering from body ache. Seriously, I felt old. Just two hours of badminton and fooling around is enough to get me killed! I’m definitely lack of stamina, and exercise. I supposed I also consumed too much fatty food, and coffee, and Coke. Jesus, I couldn’t even finish a set without squatting down. Haha...

Time flies! Can’t believe that the four-weeks-holiday I had is only a few days left. I’m going back next Saturday. I loved this holiday though. I really did quite a lot of silly stuffs. I even went jalan-jalan at Bkt. Serindit’s park. We went there trio-style, with camera! See our pictures by clickin here!

I’d two important birthdays not to miss on March, and I am absolutely happy that my holiday made me free this month! The two VIPs are Miss AunJoo Teh, my darling; and Mr. Lee Ah Suan, my beloved brother.

Aj’s birthday is on the 24th. Suan’s birthday is on the 27th. But at last, we planned two different celebrations. This is because Aj discussed with me how to make a fool out of Suan on her birthday. On the other hand, Suan discussed with me how to surprise Aj on her birthday. So in the end, the confused me just let them be, and planned each other’s birthday. Am I smart or something? I guess I’m just lazy of changing plans which are laid in front of me. This makes me realize one point of my own mind. I always thought that I hate pre-plans. Well, it’s obvious that I’m so wrong about myself! The truth is I loved pre-plans to the fullest! I just hate making them myself.

Although we intended to hide our intentions of celebrating Aj’s birthday for her, our plan is already bocor when Suan’s supreme intelligence led her to ask me:

“EUGENE, PUA ASK YOU HOW MANY PEOPLE GOING TOMORROW?”

She asked me that question right in front of the AunJoo, one day earlier! That really makes me doubt about her capability to think properly as a university undergrad. No offense ar Suan! Haha… Using our common sense, everyone with birthday tomorrow would have suspected something once words like that are spoken.

Still, I brought Aj out the next afternoon, and hoped she’d fun. Since I haven’t paid the saman which I’d mentioned in earlier posts, I took the opportunity to make the payment that very day. I know it’s weird that I brought the birthday girl to JPJ and make a summons’s payment, but I really can’t think of anything better. After I got my business done there, we went to MBO and bought tickets for The Spiderwick Chronicles. I’m not convinced that this is a good movie when Aj told me so. And seriously, I’m no fan for Nickelodeon movie, in fact I hated it.

Movies tagged with Nickelodeon’s logo are often disappointing. For example? I could name a lot. Say, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Rugrats The Movie, Rugrats in Paris, or even Nacho Libre, etc. Maybe these movies are not that bad, but definitely not my taste. Besides being too kiddish, these movies also had an awkward theme and design. Again, it might not be as bad as I said it is, but in my opinion, it definitely is.

But I’ve to admit that this Spiderwick movie is good. Although its magical creatures still might not truly suit my taste, I really think that this is much better than The Chronicles of Narnia. The magical world of Narnia is boring. And it doesn’t make sense to me. Four ordinary kids are to save a magical world? Come on. What kinda magical world could that be?
Before we watch the movie, we’d our lunch at Sushi King! This is really my first time, having my meal in one of those outlets. I know I sound like a “sampalau” or “kampong boy” or “sua ku”, but I’m telling the truth! I wanted to go there again. I loved sushi. Wahaha...

That night, we’d our dinner at Asian Havana. Suan’s was the one making the decision to go dine over there. When Aj and I reach that place, Pua and his girlfriend were already there. Suan, GwoLiang, and ZhiWei reached slightly later.

Asian Havana Café. What should I say bout that place? The surrounding of the café is fine and it looks classy a little. The drinks are so-so I should say. I expect something more from my cup of Ice Blended Cappuccino. To tell you the truth, I’m disappointed with the standard of my cup of coffee served at the café. I’d sipped something better than this even at Jonker’s Street.

But the foods there are really tasty. Still, there’s a twist: they don’t look like what you’ve already known. Say, their Spaghetti Carbonara. Although it shares the same name with the Spaghetti Carbonara we all knew, it doesn’t taste the same. And of course, it doesn’t share the same look with its original counterpart. Asian Havana’s Carbonara somehow looks a little plain. Don’t get me wrong. It is still tasty. It just tastes different. The important part is, we’d fun!

Aj looks happy with her bday cake

If you ask for my opinion? I’d say this café in Melaka Raya is highly recommendable. For a change, treat your taste buds with something different than Melaka’s Baba Nyonya food.

I’m already tired blogging. I’ll blog bout Suan’s birthday tomorrow, maybe. Haha…
For now, I’ll go to bed. My body is rusting from the fatigue.
