aJ's bdaY

Well, I’m tired of doing nothing today. And even more, I’m suffering from body ache. Seriously, I felt old. Just two hours of badminton and fooling around is enough to get me killed! I’m definitely lack of stamina, and exercise. I supposed I also consumed too much fatty food, and coffee, and Coke. Jesus, I couldn’t even finish a set without squatting down. Haha...

Time flies! Can’t believe that the four-weeks-holiday I had is only a few days left. I’m going back next Saturday. I loved this holiday though. I really did quite a lot of silly stuffs. I even went jalan-jalan at Bkt. Serindit’s park. We went there trio-style, with camera! See our pictures by clickin here!

I’d two important birthdays not to miss on March, and I am absolutely happy that my holiday made me free this month! The two VIPs are Miss AunJoo Teh, my darling; and Mr. Lee Ah Suan, my beloved brother.

Aj’s birthday is on the 24th. Suan’s birthday is on the 27th. But at last, we planned two different celebrations. This is because Aj discussed with me how to make a fool out of Suan on her birthday. On the other hand, Suan discussed with me how to surprise Aj on her birthday. So in the end, the confused me just let them be, and planned each other’s birthday. Am I smart or something? I guess I’m just lazy of changing plans which are laid in front of me. This makes me realize one point of my own mind. I always thought that I hate pre-plans. Well, it’s obvious that I’m so wrong about myself! The truth is I loved pre-plans to the fullest! I just hate making them myself.

Although we intended to hide our intentions of celebrating Aj’s birthday for her, our plan is already bocor when Suan’s supreme intelligence led her to ask me:

“EUGENE, PUA ASK YOU HOW MANY PEOPLE GOING TOMORROW?”

She asked me that question right in front of the AunJoo, one day earlier! That really makes me doubt about her capability to think properly as a university undergrad. No offense ar Suan! Haha… Using our common sense, everyone with birthday tomorrow would have suspected something once words like that are spoken.

Still, I brought Aj out the next afternoon, and hoped she’d fun. Since I haven’t paid the saman which I’d mentioned in earlier posts, I took the opportunity to make the payment that very day. I know it’s weird that I brought the birthday girl to JPJ and make a summons’s payment, but I really can’t think of anything better. After I got my business done there, we went to MBO and bought tickets for The Spiderwick Chronicles. I’m not convinced that this is a good movie when Aj told me so. And seriously, I’m no fan for Nickelodeon movie, in fact I hated it.

Movies tagged with Nickelodeon’s logo are often disappointing. For example? I could name a lot. Say, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Rugrats The Movie, Rugrats in Paris, or even Nacho Libre, etc. Maybe these movies are not that bad, but definitely not my taste. Besides being too kiddish, these movies also had an awkward theme and design. Again, it might not be as bad as I said it is, but in my opinion, it definitely is.

But I’ve to admit that this Spiderwick movie is good. Although its magical creatures still might not truly suit my taste, I really think that this is much better than The Chronicles of Narnia. The magical world of Narnia is boring. And it doesn’t make sense to me. Four ordinary kids are to save a magical world? Come on. What kinda magical world could that be?
Before we watch the movie, we’d our lunch at Sushi King! This is really my first time, having my meal in one of those outlets. I know I sound like a “sampalau” or “kampong boy” or “sua ku”, but I’m telling the truth! I wanted to go there again. I loved sushi. Wahaha...

That night, we’d our dinner at Asian Havana. Suan’s was the one making the decision to go dine over there. When Aj and I reach that place, Pua and his girlfriend were already there. Suan, GwoLiang, and ZhiWei reached slightly later.

Asian Havana Café. What should I say bout that place? The surrounding of the café is fine and it looks classy a little. The drinks are so-so I should say. I expect something more from my cup of Ice Blended Cappuccino. To tell you the truth, I’m disappointed with the standard of my cup of coffee served at the café. I’d sipped something better than this even at Jonker’s Street.

But the foods there are really tasty. Still, there’s a twist: they don’t look like what you’ve already known. Say, their Spaghetti Carbonara. Although it shares the same name with the Spaghetti Carbonara we all knew, it doesn’t taste the same. And of course, it doesn’t share the same look with its original counterpart. Asian Havana’s Carbonara somehow looks a little plain. Don’t get me wrong. It is still tasty. It just tastes different. The important part is, we’d fun!

If you ask for my opinion? I’d say this café in Melaka Raya is highly recommendable. For a change, treat your taste buds with something different than Melaka’s Baba Nyonya food.

I’m already tired blogging. I’ll blog bout Suan’s birthday tomorrow, maybe. Haha…
For now, I’ll go to bed. My body is rusting from the fatigue.
