Finally, I'd finish my 6 months period of crazy-internship. Somehow, I missed that office a little. Somehow rather, there's a factor that makes me don't miss that place at all. Idiocy of a particular individual is the main factor.
Now i'm looking for a job. I wish to get into advertising or production field. Wish me luck.
It had been so long since I last took out my d80 off the beg to shoot anything worth posting. But last week, my internship supervisor ask me to go out for location scouting. So, shooting is no longer an option.
Seriously, I had already forget how awful it is to stand under the burning sun looking out for something which looks interesting through the lens. If you're wondering what kind of location I'm scouting out for, it would be KL cityscape and tight back alleys of Kuala Lumpur.
Well the task is already completed. And I was awfully happy (fingers crossed, please, no more location scouting for me next time!) LOLed!
Here's some shot I'd like to share. I'm currently experimenting with HDR style. I guess some would say my pictures are not pore HDRs since I shoot in Jpeg and not Raw. And since I prefer a smoother style than the rough texture which HDR always provides, my pictures might not look very HDR to you. Anyway, I hope you all like these pictures. I'd appreciate critics!
I'm too easily distracted. Once I saw the dragonfly, I forgot all about cityscape and back alleys. :-P
Cityscape. just opposite KLCC.
KLCC. My photography lecturer Mr. Solihin commented that the tree is distracting.
Should've taken note of that.
A car at the back alley.
I kinda like this shot. But that's me.
Which one had too much flaws? Oh please spill it out to me!
I will try to come up with more pictures. I still haven't forgot I heart photography so much!
Let's do a little update rather than just posting movie review okay. Might be even less interesting compared to movie review anyway. But here we go.
Been doing my internship here in Evo Pictures for almost 2 months now. And to be bold, the work here had been fun, although overall the working hours and the paycheck sucks. I would like to rephrase my previous sentence if you may. THE PAYCHECK SUCKS, and it eliminates all the fun of working whatsoever.
So far I'd been out there for quite some a number of shoots, and our department is called the 'Art Department'. More like 'Jabatan Kuli Batak' if you ask me. =.=
Here's some pics from our shootings. I'll introduce some dudes I get to know from working here. Making new friends are really some of the best thing happened while I'm working here.
I get to know two new real tight buddies here. They're a little bit nuts though. When they're around, we laugh at whatever we can no matter how tense the situation we're in!
2 Crazy Dudes
Since this is a production company, I also get to know this ambitious girl who aims to be a movie director by 26. Though she currently worked as Assistant Director in some of the TV Ad we did, I truly believe she can do it! I wish her luck, and gave her my full support!
Director to be!
There're also some folks who spoke gibberish, and requires high IQ to decipher what he's tying to say. You may use all the sources you can to decipher the message. Meet Sakai.
Well, besides me, there are some other people who fall victim to this company. Yea, you read me right. We're really victims of abuse here. Well, to tell the truth, the real abuse here is Doreen. You hear her name on set all the time. "Doreeeeeenn!"
The 2 new girls who start their internship last month.
I'll just post some interesting pictures when we did the shooting. So, pardon my lack of words. ;-)
The male artists dance scene.
Hafiz and his pom pom girls!
Recognize anyone here?
This is how they set up to record a moving car.
You realize there's a bunch of dudes picking up papers from the floor?
That's right. I'm one of them. Pathetic job. LOL
We work until midnight for these ads. Let's just say the experience is worth it because at the end of the day, we're just a bunch of...
Well, I guess this will be another brief update unless it drags on to be a long post :-)
Been off the blog so long, so if you're wondering what really happen to me, the answer would be: "My life is currently pretty busy, with too little cash in the pocket."
Previously, i keep myself away the blog because I were too busy with my final project. It turned out fine, not too good though. Probably my a-little-too-short-thesis results in a-little-lesser-grade that I got. Well, a B+ is not too bad I thought, so I'm not going to complain here.
And now? I'm currently doing my internship in order to graduate. Well, too put it short, internship sucks. My faculty's internship was set for a 6 months period. When I was briefed the first time about the internship, I can hear myself screaming in my head "What the Fuck? 6 Holy Fucking Months?"
First briefing done, the second is done. Now the internship period begun. I'm currently a Graphic Design Intern in Evo Pictures. This production company produce lots of Astro advertisements. the company also create their own film material such as the 2006's Seed of Darkness, and also next year's Fist of Dragon. Fist of Dragon is scheduled to be release in 2011's March in Singapore, so please support the film! Click here to find out more about the film, go to the movie's Facebook page. The director whom is also the main lead in the film, Michael Chuah is also my internship external supervisor. Lol, go ahead and watch my supervisor in action in the Fist of Dragon teaser I attached below!
The teaser looks pretty cool and promising doesn't it?
Despite my super long working hour: 9.30a.m. to 7.30p.pm., which is truly tiring, I kinda like the work surrounding of Evo Pictures. I met some good bunch of people there, and the producers/supervisor are all pretty nice people.
So nowadays to fit into this working life, I'd to totally reset my biological clock. I'd to wake up at around 6.30a.m. to prepare myself for the long day, and will try to sleep at 10p.m. in order to wake up at 6.30a.m. and the process will repeat itself from Monday to Friday.
Will update this blog again whenever I find the time! I hope will be able to discuss my work or design I'd done in the next post.
