wisdom tooth

Dear Sumire,

I had a surgery to remove 2 of my wisdom tooth on my right. It had to be done since it was impacted and was getting too near to the nerves. It was causing me so much pain that I had an injection on my butt at 2a.m. in the morning. the pain was so unbearable that I was trembling so badly as I drove to Subang Medical Center. The tooth had to go.

It's not so easy to summarize the whole experience. I mean, it was way scarier then what I thought. It's almost like the dentist is treating you like a nut cracker, where you heard noise of nuts cracking inside your mouth, but only, it's not nuts. It's the tooth which is cracking. *Prakkk* Now imagine that kind of loud jolt with a huge plyer in your mouth.

Damn, I swear, no nuts for me for this few months. (It's not like I can eat them anyway with my current *toothless* condition.)

The dentist told me the procedures would be completed in 45 minutes tops. But in the end, it was extended to a full 2 hours, due to the fact that the horizontally impacted on the bottom right was not able to be extracted with ease. That's when the language became scarier.
"Hand me the bone cutter. I think I'll need to cut into his jaw."
I have to admit, I requested for more local anesthetics because it became painful halfway through the procedure. After that, I don't feel a thing in my mouth. But it's still scary how the dentist puts her tools into my mouth without me feeling anything. I felt helpless. All I thought of at the moment is for the whole thing to end a.s.a.p. Gosh! But it's almost like it will never end.

Seriously, when the dentist said it was done, I released a happy smile. But maybe, it doesn't look like a smile at all. LOL

Aww. And look at how much it swells after the procedure. Aww.

And the worst part of all? I still have two wisdom tooth on my left to remove. FML

my cousins and i

Dear Sumire,

I'm feeling extremely exhausted! Probably it was because of the late badminton session with Lucas, Doreen, Lynn and Kam. Or maybe, it's due to waking up early despite the fatigue. Or maybe the 2 hours drive home to Melaka did drain me a little bit more. I've yet to consider the fact that my car wipers suddenly stop functioning thus having me wait for more than an hour at the workshop while they service the wiper motor. Not to mention the mechanic took it in and off several time before it finally works again.

But being home at Melaka have its good side. I enjoyed the quality time with my family. Had a great dinner and durians after. I guess the durians are so-so. But it's the company that matters. God, I haven't had such earnest chat with my cousins in such a long time. Few years back, we use to do it all the time didn't we? I guess time changes things.

My cousins and I, we use to go cycling a lot. We use to get muddy in the paddy field, and so on and so forth. Holidays are pure madness and havoc in my house. My mum would get a serious headaches with all 7 of us wreaking madness in her usually serene home. You would see us running around screaming, and occasionally, the some of the girls would be crying. LOL

Dominic and I, we use to be so tight. We even said funny things about how we would meet up in playground that we call the 'usual spot' 20-30 years from now. I'm curious how the future will turn up to be.

Gosh, I'm old.

botanical garden

Dear Sumire,

Last week during the raya break, I promised Nana I'll bring her out 'jalan-jalan'. Previously I promised her to bring her to the zoo, but that didn't turn out well. Her fault also, not mine. Since shopping center are boring, we decided to go somewhere green! My sister was the one who suggested the Botanical Garden (formerly called Hutan Rekreasi), since she recently had her 'Treasure Hunt' there.

As usual, I'll let the picture do the talking. And btw, my mum shot most of the pictures here. I'm busy posing and carrying Nana around!

If you're interested to pay the botanical garden a visit, it's located at Ayer Keroh. It's not too far away from Wonderland Waterpark. Not too difficult to find. I think it's kinda fun with all the dino statues there, but other than that, I think it's one piece of thick jungle. Haha.. The sceneries are pretty nice, but the playgrounds and the pathway could used some cleaning. Not bad lah!

Signing off,

good friday and easter

Dear Sumire,

My previous week was actually kind of different from all my ordinary weeks. The whole time I was in Melaka, the church is celebrating the Holy Week. It’s the most important celebration in our Catholic's calendar; in fact it is much much more important than Christmas.

Every year, I get SMS from friends wishing me "Happy Good Friday". I don't blame them because they probably did not know and I'm more than happy and willing to explain what Good Friday truly is to them.

In truth, we mourn on Good Friday. We fast on that day. On Good Friday, we reflect on the Passion of the Christ. We commemorate the death of Jesus and his crucifixion on the cross. You might ask, why called it 'Good Friday' then?

First Peter 3:18 told us,
"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.”
While Romans 5:8 told us;
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

We called it 'Good' Friday because Jesus chose to sacrificed himself for the sins of the world. It was a good cause. Catholic faithfuls believe that he became our Savior by dying on the cross. He was crucifix because of His love for us.

I took some pictures on Good Friday at St Peter’s Church Melaka. This is how Good Friday’s atmosphere always has been. Sad and down. That’s why in some countries, it’s known as the Black Friday.

Who could be more sad than the Virgin Mother Mary who'd to see her own blood and bone nailed on the cross?

Catholics praying around the statue of Jesus.

Christ suffered bodily pain and suffering because of His love for us.

I'm sure you'd heard before that:
"Christ was crucified and was buried, on the third day He rose again."

On Good Friday we commemorate the death of Jesus. On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the risen Lord! It's also called Pascha or also called the Feast of the Resurrection of the Lord. Catholics faithfuls believe that Jesus' will come again at the Judgment Day to judge the living and the dead.

This is probably a little too short for my readers to understand in full what Good Friday and Easter Sunday is all about. But I guess now at least you could understand that Good Friday is not as happy as you thought, and Easter Sunday is not about bunnies and colorful eggs. :-)

Thanks be to Lord Jesus Christ,

a visit to the zoo

Dear Sumire,

I wish to write this post sooner, but it seems very difficult for me to blog in Melaka. I could never find the time! It's either I'm driving around, or eating around, take my bie bie out for a meal, or just chatting with my mum or sister, or it could be anything! Gosh!

But as busy as I am, I manage to change a template and banner for my blog! And to top it off, I even changed the favicon (the small logo at the tab and side of the link on your browser) with a Darlie of myself! I will make more changes to the blog IF I'm not too lazy.

I intended to write about my visit to Zoo Melaka last week. I brought my mum, my sister, and my darling with me. You might scratch your head asking why I went there with my family but we really enjoyed ourselves! It’d been quite some time since I’d been to zoo. The last time I was there with my cousins, we were still probably in primary school.

This time around, I’m old enough to register as a legitimate voter. And I registered in the ZOO! Not just me, my darling registered at the same spot as well. I do admit it’s a weird place to register though.

My biebie right after she got her registration slip.

The zoo had changed quite much since my last visit. Much improvement had been made. It’s clean and neat. And the best part of Zoo Melaka is that it doesn’t stink like it used to be. The second largest zoo in Malaysia is quite an animal sanctuary with more than 1200 animals of 215 different species. It’s not like I’m a professional zoologists, but even an idiot like me can tell there are a lot of animals there!

Of course, we went to the zoo to take a look at the animal. And I wanted to snap them. I wanted some good subject matter to practice on. My photography skills are getting rusty and I thought I should do something about it! But shooting under the hot sun can be very tiring! That's why I brought so many girls with me you know?

They carry my bag, my umbrella, and they take picture of me. I'm kinda like a big shot photographer at work.

Not just a big shot photographer, I'm like a big shot ugly model as well.
Just joking. I hope the girls won't kill me when they read this. ;-P

Well, I'm not gonna blab on about how big the zoo is, or how pretty the mini safari is and so on. If you want to know more about Zoo Melaka, you got to visit the place yourself. Instead, I'll show you how well the animal were kept! They all looked gorgeous!

But I gotta warn you, there ain't much picture in here either because I'm too tired to select and edit. What I'm about to post here is my personal favorite!
Let me show you the birds first:

I wonder if it's a pigeon. It looks like one, but seems too fat to be one.

I can't stand the this scenery really. I'd never thought that hornbills are yoga enthusiasts!

Did this bird went for rebonding? Her hair feather are silky straight.

This is the crested serpent eagle. Ain't it a beauty?

This bird got a weird name. It's called a Changeable hawk-eagle. Now I'm confused whether it's an hawk or an eagle or both.

This birds live in pairs. Lovely.

The flamingos.

I don't know what they call this bird My biebie told me it's a crane (silly me), but I'm super surprise it flies pretty high despite it's humongous size!

Now let's move on to the mammals alright? :-)

The Malayan Tiger@Pak Belang. This must have been my favorite edit of the day!

Guess what? when my mum saw this picture, all she said was 'hamsap'
(which means pervert!)
:-D

Kinda look like a double headed giraffe to me. LOL

There's quite an amount of reptile such as snakes and crocs there in Zoo Melaka, but this is the only reptile for today's post:

Is it toothless?

My mum can be considered as my personal photographer of the day. Almost every picture with me in it was taken by her. Seriously, I would say she can frame pretty well! I don't know since when, but my most of my profile pics are shot by her. ;-P

I probably get my artistic talent from her. LOL

Shot by my mum. I even made this into my blog banner!

Also shot by my mummy! All I wanted to say is that turtle looks really kesian with Eunice stepping over her like that!

Well, that's all for this post. Enough editing and typing for today. I probably ought to get some sleep now. Tomorrow I gotta drive back to Shah Alam. Gonna be a tiring drive, and I'm gonna miss Melaka so damn much! I'd only been back for one week and I wish I don't need to go back so soon. :'-(

Good night y'all,
jin
